Denys Shmyhal met with Kaja Kallas

Рrime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Estonia Kaja Kallas in Kyiv.

Denys Shmyhal congratulated his counterpart on her reappointment and the formation of a new government.

“Our countries are bound by more than bilateral relations. It is friendship and partnership based on shared values and mutual respect. Estonia was one of the first countries to provide defence assistance in the darkest times for our country. Estonia was also the first to help bring life back to the affected areas by implementing practical recovery projects in Zhytomyr region,” the Head of Ukrainian Government noted.

The parties discussed Ukraine’s integration into the EU and NATO. Denys Shmyhal stressed that joining the Alliance was a priority for Ukraine. The Heads of Government also coordinated steps to involve a wider range of nations in a special international tribunal against russia.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked the Government and people of Estonia for advocating decisions within the EU to support Ukraine, including the purchase of ammunition, and for significant assistance in the fight for Ukraine’s freedom and the security of all of Europe.

In turn, Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas assured of her country’s continued support for Ukraine.
