President held a coordination meeting on the situation in the Zhytomyr region
As part of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy's working visit to the Zhytomyr region, a coordination meeting was held on the security, socio-economic and socio-political situation in the region attended by the heads of security and defense forces and law enforcement agencies.
Head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Bunechko informed the Head of State about the social and economic situation in the region.
Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Serhiy Deyneko reported to the President and the meeting participants on comprehensive measures to reinforce the state border within the Zhytomyr region, as well as the construction of fortifications and defense engineering structures.
The parties also discussed information on the readiness of the units of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to ensure the defense of the state border in the Zhytomyr region.
Commander of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maksym Myrhorodskyi reported to the President on the state of training, retraining and advanced training of personnel for the military units of the airborne assault troops.
Zhytomyr Mayor Serhiy Sukhomlyn spoke about the economic activity of the regional center and defense measures under martial law.
The meeting participants also heard information from the regional leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police on the operational and criminogenic situation in the Zhytomyr region.
