In synergy with the World Bank we will intensify joint programs to rebuild our country

Тhe World Bank will become one of the key partners in Ukraine's recovery. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Government meeting on April 18. According to him, Ukraine has agreed to intensify joint thematic programs to ensure our country rebuilds right now.


"In the energy sector, this is the USD 500 million REPOWER project. Last week in Washington, we signed an agreement for the first USD 200 million to restore our energy and heating systems in Ukrainian cities," the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister also named two more projects. The first is in the field of transport infrastructure - RELINC. The programme budget is USD 585 million. In the field of healthcare and hospital rehabilitation, the HEAL Ukraine project. The total resource of the program is USD 368 million.
In addition, Ukraine has agreed with the World Bank Group on a Special Program to respond to the challenges and restore Ukraine. According to Denys Shmyhal, through this program, Ukraine will attract up to USD 6 billion in additional financing from the IBRD.
"These funds will be used to restore critical, social and transport infrastructure. Now we expect the program to be approved and launched this year," the Prime Minister said.
