Denys Shmyhal and Andrej Plenković discuss Croatia’s support in demining and veterans’ policy
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković in Kyiv.
Denys Shmyhal thanked the Croatian side for the visit and consistent support over the course of russia’s full-scale aggression.
“Croatia is a country that, despite the difficult path of post-war recovery, has successfully integrated fully into the EU. Your experience in the field of European integration, post-war recovery, veterans’ policy, and demining is extremely valuable for us,” the Head of Ukrainian Government said.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed that Ukraine greatly appreciated Croatia’s assistance, in particular, he thanked for the intention to transfer Mi-8 helicopters.
According to Andrej Plenković, Croatia is ready to help with the rehabilitation of veterans, restoration and protection of cultural heritage from war. In addition, Croatia is preparing initiatives at the level of the European Commission to assist Ukraine in humanitarian demining.
