President and heads of foreign states and governments honored the memory of Bucha residents killed during the Russian occupation

On the anniversary of the liberation of Bucha (Kyiv region) from the Russian invaders, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in commemorating the residents of the city killed during the Russian occupation.

The ceremony took place near the Church of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called and All Saints in Bucha.

Together with the Head of State, the memory of the dead was honored by: President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Eduard Heger, Prime Minister of Slovenia Robert Golob, Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, as well as Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak.

The attendees put icon lamps at the memorial cross at the burial site of Bucha civilians killed by the Russian invaders.

During the ceremony, the names of 77 identified persons who were buried in a mass grave near the church, as well as 11 servicemen killed in battles for Bucha, were announced.
