The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko honored the memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko paid tribute to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
The ceremony took place at the memorial cross on Instytutska Street in the center of Kyiv, where the activists were killed in February 2014 during the Revolution of Dignity.
Participants laid flowers at the monument and lit memorial lamps in honor of the fallen.
“Nine years ago, Ukrainians wrapped in blue and yellow flags and flags of the EU came out to fight for their future. A free, democratic, European future, full of respect and values.
Back then, people changed the course of history, prevented the dictatorship from taking root in our country and showed the world the strength, resilience and indestructibility of our nation. And then Ukrainians who wanted freedom for their country gave their lives for this path.
Your feat will never be forgotten! Eternal memory to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred!” the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk addressed Ukrainians on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Heavenly Hundred.
