The event was held at the premises of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and brought together heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine, members of the academic community, students, and a wide circle of friends of Tajikistan.
Nowruz is an ancient celebration marking the arrival of spring and the renewal of nature, symbolizing the beginning of the new year according to the traditional solar calendar of the peoples of Central Asia and the Middle East. With a history spanning thousands of years, the holiday embodies the values of peace, harmony, and good neighborly relations among nations. In 2010, the United Nations officially proclaimed March 21 as the International Day of Nowruz, recognizing its significance as a symbol of cultural dialogue and mutual understanding.
Together with partners and friends, we had the honor to extend our congratulations to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine, H.E. Mr. Davlatali Nazrizoda, and to join the celebration of this vibrant cultural occasion.
The festive gathering impressed guests with its rich traditions, music, and the striking colors of the national costumes of Tajikistan and Ukraine, reflecting the spirit of friendship and cultural exchange between the two nations.
