Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko received copies of the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Ukraine Geoff Bowan.

Olexandr Mischenko congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine and thanked the Government and the people of Australia for their comprehensive support to Ukraine, the total volume of which has exceeded USD 1.2 billion.

In particular, the Deputy Minister expressed gratitude for the military and humanitarian assistance, as well as contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, and emphasized the importance of continuing and strengthening support for Ukraine.

Olexandr Mischenko called on the Australian side to support Ukraine’s recovery efforts, emphasizing the importance of strengthening international coordination, attracting investments, and providing expert assistance.

The interlocutors agreed to further enhance bilateral contacts and deepen trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
