Pleasant memories of March 2017

March 2017. The Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine hosted the opening of the exhibition “Ukraine Through the Eyes of Ukrainian Photographers”, showcasing unique perspectives on contemporary Ukrainian culture and landscapes through the lens of leading photographers.

The exhibition was officially opened by H.E. Erno Keshken, Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine, who highlighted the importance of cultural diplomacy and intercultural dialogue in strengthening bilateral relations.

The featured photographers were prominent Ukrainian artists: Boris Korpusyenko, Alexander Avramenko, and Alexander Kondratenko. Each series combined a personal artistic vision with reflections on national identity and contemporary transformations in Ukraine.

The hall was filled with diplomats, cultural figures, and art experts. Guests listened attentively to the speeches and then gradually moved among the exhibits, studying details, discussing compositions, and admiring photographic techniques. The atmosphere was both ceremonial and warm — it was clear that attendees came not merely for an exhibition, but for an encounter with Ukrainian culture through the work of its artists.

Among the distinguished guests was Vyacheslav Tsyvaty, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, who expressed his appreciation for the photographers’ contribution to promoting Ukrainian art on the international stage.

Photographs from the event show photographer Ambassador Erno Keshken, Rector Vyacheslav Tsyvaty, and Alexander Kondratenko.

The exhibition was an important occasion for connecting art and diplomacy, demonstrating how photography can serve as a bridge between culture and international collaboration.
