The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine summed up the results of his working visit to Italy and the Vatican City State
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, has completed a working visit to the Italian Republic and the Vatican City State. During the visit, he held a series of meetings with the leadership of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of Italy, representatives of the Holy See, and also took part in a session of the Italian Parliament.

They discussed further military, financial and humanitarian support for Ukraine, the return of illegally deported Ukrainian children and prisoners of war, as well as international efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace.
The partners confirmed that Ukraine can count on continued solidarity and support. The Vatican separately emphasised the importance of maintaining unity between Europe and the United States.
During his visit, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also spoke with Italian media outlets. They discussed Ukraine's vision of peace, Europe's role in the diplomatic process, and the challenges that russian aggression poses to European security as a whole.
Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked Italy and the Holy See for their clear position, attention to Ukraine and willingness to work together, stressing that Ukraine will continue to strengthen international unity for the sake of peace, security and protection of its people.
