Ruslan Stefanchuk Met with the Deputy Speaker of the UK House of Commons

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a meeting with Caroline Nokes, Deputy Speaker of the UK House of Commons, on the sidelines of the Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform.

Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that he received clear assurances that the United Kingdom will continue to remain committed to Ukraine, its sovereignty, and the joint fight against russian aggression.

The parties also discussed the recent debates in the UK Parliament concerning Ukrainian children who are being illegally deported and held by russia in the temporarily occupied territories. It was emphasized that this is one of the gravest crimes of the war, and international pressure must intensify to ensure that every child is returned home.

Ruslan Stefanchuk expressed gratitude to the UK partners for their leadership and steadfast solidarity with Ukraine. He underscored that the parliaments of both countries will continue working together in pursuit of justice, peace, and security.
