Ruslan Stefanchuk held a meeting with PACE President Theodoros Rousopoulos
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with PACE President Theodoros Rousopoulos on the sidelines of the Fourth Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform in Stockholm.
Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked him for his work and leadership, especially during his presidency, which is nearing completion. He emphasized that it was under this leadership that PACE began implementing the compensation mechanism for reparations for the damage caused by Russian aggression. This step became historic and is an important component of the future accountability of Russia for the crimes it has committed.
During the meeting, the parties also focused on peace initiatives and aligning approaches to possible future negotiations. It was stressed that a just peace is possible only on the basis of international law, security guarantees, and respect for the sovereignty of Ukraine.
Ruslan Stefanchuk separately highlighted the consistent support of PACE, which since the first days of the full-scale invasion has remained one of the most resolute voices in defense of Ukraine.
