Ruslan Stefanchuk discusses a just peace for Ukraine with the President of the Romanian Senate

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a meeting in Stockholm with President of the Romanian Senate Mircea Abrudean.

The discussion focused on a key issue — shared red lines in future peace negotiations. Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that peace must be just, compliant with international law, and reliably safeguarded against the risk of renewed aggression.

The parties also concentrated on security guarantees and further steps aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s position before, during, and after the diplomatic process.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada reported receiving clear assurances from Romania regarding its steadfast and resolute support for Ukraine. He underscored that every expression of solidarity by partners brings the establishment of a just and lasting peace closer.

Ruslan Stefanchuk invited Mircea Abrudean to visit Kyiv, noting that open and consistent dialogue between the Ukrainian and Romanian parliaments is a significant contribution to the security, resilience, and stability of the entire region.
