Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Meets with President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly
As part of the Fourth Parliamentary Summit of the Crimean Platform in Stockholm, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a meeting with Marcos Perestrello, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

During the talks, the sides discussed the summit’s role in further consolidating international efforts aimed at establishing a just and sustainable peace. Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that Ukraine highly values the steadfast solidarity of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
«No negotiations about Ukraine’s future can take place without the participation of Ukraine itself and our European partners. The outcome will set a global precedent and must be grounded in the principles of international law,» stressed the Verkhovna Rada Chairman.
Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that Ukraine is open to a substantive diplomatic process and consistently demonstrates this on the international stage, while russia continues to deliberately avoid any genuine peace initiatives.
The meeting also focused on the PURL initiative, issues of military and political support, and practical measures capable of strengthening Ukraine’s position in international formats.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada received clear assurances that the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will continue to remain a reliable partner of Ukraine in the fight for freedom and peace.
