Yulia Svyrydenko meets with Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas Juozas Olekas
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko held a meeting with Juozas Olekas, Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, who is making his first visit to Ukraine since his election.

The discussion primarily focused on the state of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure amid daily targeted russian attacks, as well as measures to strengthen Europe’s energy security.
“I am grateful to our Lithuanian friends for their steadfast support of our energy sector and their readiness to enhance our air defence through the PURL mechanism,” noted Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Prime Minister also briefed the Lithuanian counterparts on Ukraine’s vision for the upcoming 20th EU sanctions package.
Yulia Svyrydenko emphasised that Lithuania is a reliable ally of Ukraine on its path to European integration. During the meeting, the parties highlighted the work of the CPVA office, which recently opened in Kyiv, along with the implementation of its projects aimed at Ukraine’s recovery and EU accession preparations.
Yulia Svyrydenko thanked Lithuania for its continued willingness to provide medical treatment to Ukrainian service members.
“We agreed to soon begin further preparations for joint consultations between the Governments of Ukraine and Lithuania,” concluded Yulia Svyrydenko.
