Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed further cooperation between the Parliaments of Ukraine and Lithuania with the Speaker of the Seimas of Lithuania, Juozas Olekas
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, met with the Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Juozas Olekas, who made his first international visit in this position to Ukraine. This step was yet another confirmation of Lithuania's consistent and unwavering support.

Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked the Lithuanian Parliament and Government for their significant contribution to strengthening the defence capabilities of our state. «Lithuania is one of Ukraine's most loyal partners. It ranks among the world's leaders in terms of aid relative to GDP, and its total contribution to supporting Ukraine has already exceeded €1.8 billion,» he said.
The parties discussed further security cooperation, including joint arms production, participation in international coalitions, and steps to strengthen sanctions, economic and diplomatic pressure on russia. «A just and lasting peace is only possible when the aggressor feels the true cost of its crimes. Therefore, pressure on russia must only increase,» Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasised.
Juozas Olekas confirmed that Lithuania will remain a reliable ally of Ukraine: «We will never recognise the illegal occupation of Ukrainian territories and will continue to support Ukraine — in military, political and humanitarian terms.»
Special attention was paid to Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration. The parliaments of the two countries agreed to intensify the exchange of experience to accelerate Ukraine's accession to the European Union and bring it closer to NATO membership.
Ruslan Stefanchuk invited Juozas Olekas to participate in the Fourth Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform, which will take place on 23–24 November in Stockholm. The Speaker of the Seimas announced that he had accepted the invitation.
This meeting was yet another confirmation of the deep strategic partnership between Ukraine and Lithuania, based on shared values, mutual trust and unity in the face of aggression.
