Yulia Svyrydenko and Valdis Dombrovskis discuss in the USA continuation of financial support for Ukraine and implementation of new financial mechanism for reparations loans announced by the EU
Рrime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, together with the Government team, met with EU Commissioner for Economy and Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis in Washington, USA.
“We started the day of meetings in Washington. Pleased to see EU Commissioner for Economy and Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis.
Many shared topics – continuation of financial support for Ukraine, implementation of the new financial mechanism for reparations loans announced by the European Union,” stated Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Head of the Ukrainian Government emphasised that at every meeting in Washington, she raises the issues of protecting Ukraine’s energy sector and supporting Ukraine’s resilience this winter, along with ways to safeguard it.
Yulia Svyrydenko expressed hope for the adoption of the 19th package of European sanctions against russia: “Continued consistent pressure is the only effective mechanism of influence on the aggressor, reducing revenues from oil and gas that russia uses to fund the war.”
