Ukraine is ready for the next stages of European integration, in particular, for the start of practical work on the ‘Fundamentals’ cluster, says Oleksandr Korniienko
During his working visit to Brussels, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko met with European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.

«First of all, I am glad to continue our dialogue and discuss specific steps that will significantly bring Ukraine closer to joining the European Union. I provided detailed information on the recently adopted draft laws that implement the provisions of the Ukraine Facility programme,» said the First Deputy Speaker.
He assured the European Commission representative that the Verkhovna Rada would continue to follow the established plan and that Ukraine remained committed to the path of reform.
During the meeting, Oleksandr Kornienko expressed his expectations regarding further steps by the European side on the issue of the use of frozen Russian assets.
«We returned to the topic of opening negotiation clusters, which we started with Ms Marta in Kyiv. We are ready for the next stages of European integration, in particular, for the start of practical work on the “Fundamentals” cluster,» said the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Korniienko also expressed his gratitude to Marta Kos and European institutions for their consistent support of Ukraine — both in the fight for common values and on Ukraine's path to membership in the European Union.
