Yulia Svyrydenko discusses World Bank support for Ukraine with Anna Bjerde

Рrime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko held a meeting with Anna Bjerde, World Bank Director of Operations.

The Head of Government outlined the priorities of Ukraine’s 2026 State Budget, primarily focusing on national defence and social stability. The Prime Minister discussed approaches to balancing defence needs with other expenditures, as well as addressing the budget deficit. The parties explored ways the World Bank can support Ukraine during these challenging times.

“Ukraine continues to advance reforms in line with our international commitments, including strengthening anti-corruption institutions. We also agreed on further contacts to deepen cooperation,” noted Yulia Svyrydenko. “I am grateful to the World Bank for its steadfast support to Ukraine in these difficult times of full-scale invasion.”
