Ruslan Stefanchuk called on Slovakia to intensify interparliamentary cooperation
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a meeting with Pavel Vizdal, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Ukrainian-Slovak relations, and emphasised the importance of deepening interparliamentary dialogue. In particular, they discussed exchanges of visits at the level of parliamentary leadership.
Ruslan Stefanchuk called for the creation of a friendship group with Ukraine in the Slovak parliament. According to him, this will contribute to strengthening interparliamentary cooperation and add new dynamics to contacts between the two countries.
«For more than three years, Ukraine has been defending its independence and European values from russian aggression. In this context, we count on a strong voice of solidarity from neighbouring Slovakia and further support for Ukraine on its path to EU membership,» the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasised.
