Ruslan Stefanchuk held an online meeting with speakers of European parliaments on the peace process

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held an online meeting with the speakers of the parliaments of Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. During the conversation, the parties discussed the issue of achieving a just and lasting peace for Ukraine, which is possible only on the basis of the UN Charter and with respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country.

Ruslan Stefanchuk outlined the basic principles of a peaceful settlement. He stressed that no decisions regarding Ukraine can be made without its participation. The first and most urgent task is a complete and unconditional ceasefire, and the key condition is to provide Ukraine with effective and reliable security guarantees. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada also stressed that russia cannot have a "veto" on Ukraine's path to EU and NATO membership, and any negotiations should be accompanied by maximum pressure on the aggressor.

"Concessions on the issue of territories are impossible. The Constitution of Ukraine does not allow land trade," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada stressed.

Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked the European partners for their solidarity and active position in the dialogue with the United States. He emphasised that the unity of Europe and the transatlantic community forces the aggressor to reckon with international law. "russia's aggressive war can only be stopped with unity and strength. This is how we will achieve real peace," he concluded.
