Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk: Ukraine–U.S. cooperation remains a strong pillar of international security

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk met with U.S. Presidential Aide Keith Kellogg

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a meeting with Keith Kellogg, Assistant to the President of the United States and Special Representative for Ukraine and russia. The talks focused on key issues of security cooperation and joint deterrence of russian aggression.

A central topic was the continuation and acceleration of military aid to Ukraine — particularly the delivery of air defense systems, ammunition, and other critical weapons. Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized the importance of strengthening sanctions against the russian federation: «This includes not only the banking sector or the shadow fleet, but also restrictions in energy and the nuclear domain.»

The parties also discussed ways to curb the supply of technological components that russia acquires through third countries for the production of drones and missiles. Particular attention was paid to the global threat posed by russian aggression and the need for a unified deterrence policy.

«I am grateful for the U.S.’s firm stance in support of Ukraine and for the clear signals of readiness to take consistent actions that will strengthen our defense and bring us closer to a just peace,» Ruslan Stefanchuk stated.

He concluded that strong Ukraine–U.S. cooperation contributes not only to Ukraine’s victory, but also to the security of Europe and the democratic world at large.
