The Verkhovna Rada appoints Yuliia Svyrydenko to the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved Yuliia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister of Ukraine on July 17, 2025. This decision was passed by 262 MPs.

In her address to the Parliament, the newly appointed Head of Government thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for their trust and MPs for their support in adopting important decisions.

"My main goal is efficiency and results. I want every Ukrainian to feel real positive changes. The war requires us to act quickly and decisively," emphasized Yuliia Svyrydenko.

Among the top priorities of the new Government are efficient maintenance of the army, scaling up the production of Ukrainian weapons, support for business, comprehensive deregulation, acceleration of large-scale privatization and introduction of reliable mechanisms to support Ukrainian producers.

"Our objective is a self-sufficient economy. We want everything to be Made in Ukraine," the Prime Minister emphasized.

In her address, she also noted that the Government team was already working to reduce inefficient spending and ready to start implementing the assigned tasks immediately.
