President Awarded the "Golden Heart" and Spoke to Ukrainian Volunteers
On International Volunteer Day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of the volunteer movement – individuals who actively support the country and Ukrainian warriors.
“Congratulations to all our Ukrainian volunteers on International Volunteer Day. I want to thank you for your work and service. You dedicate your lives, first and foremost, to our warriors – those on whom the lives of all of us, our children, depend. I am grateful for your invaluable assistance both on the frontline and in civilian life,” the President said.Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the Ukrainian volunteer movement unites people who care and are always ready to help.
The President presented the Golden Heart award to Volodymyr Alekseyev, chairman of the supervisory board of the NGO DOF; Oleksandr Beluga, chairman of the NGO BELUGA UA; Maria Berlinska, head of the Victory Drones project of the Dignitas Fund; Liubov Galan, co-founder of the NGO Human Rights Center “Principle”; Svitlana Zabava, a volunteer at the NGO Ukrainian Child Rights Network; Yevhen Kaplin, head of the PROLISKA NGO; Volodymyr Kolomayko, founder of the International Charitable Foundation UNITYUA; Zhanna Lishchynska, co-founder and chairman of the board of the Zaporizhzhia regional NGO “Peace and Family Protection”; Liudmyla Meniuk, a volunteer at the “5th Separate Assault Kyiv Brigade Volunteer Headquarters” Charitable Foundation; Maryna Petrychenko, head of the humanitarian department of the Serhiy Prytula Foundation; Oksana Tunik-Fryz, head of the nationwide NGO "Knight's Cross"; Anastasia Khaliulova, a volunteer at the NGO Ukrainian Child Rights Network; Myroslava Kharchenko, a volunteer at the Save Ukraine Charitable Foundation; Tetiana Kharko, director of the Charitable Foundation Stalevi; Tetiana Khytra, head of the Tempered Hearts NGO; and members of Kurgan & Agregat band – Amil Elman Ogly Nasirov, Ramil Elman Ogly Nasirov, and Yevhen Volodchenko – who organize large-scale fundraising initiatives for Ukrainian warriors. President Zelenskyy established the "Golden Heart" award in 2022. Each year, on International Volunteer Day, it is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to volunteer efforts and the development of the volunteer movement.During the meeting, the President discussed with volunteer representatives the provision of resources for the Defense Forces, including the procurement of FPV drones, strengthening air defense, and the construction of fortifications. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also shared updates on the preparation of the first session of the Technology Staff, scheduled for this month.
Additionally, the discussion touched upon implementing the President's Bring Kids Back UA initiative and specific steps for the return of Ukrainian children illegally deported by Russia.
