Denys Shmyhal discusses military support, recovery and European integration with the Czech Foreign Minister
On 22 November, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský in Kyiv.
Denys Shmyhal noted that Ukraine and the Czech Republic continued to actively develop bilateral cooperation. He noted the positive impact of intergovernmental consultations on defence cooperation and proposed to hold the third meeting of the two governments next year.
The Prime Minister thanked the Czech Republic for its initiative to supply Ukraine with artillery ammunition: "The initiative is working. We commend the pace of supply".
Denys Shmyhal also voiced urgent needs for armaments and stressed the need to reinforce Ukraine's air defence system.
"We appreciate the support provided in the areas of finance, demining and reconstruction. The Czech Republic is helping to restore hospitals and critical infrastructure and has taken patronage of the Dnipro region," the Prime Minister of Ukraine said.
The parties also addressed the implementation of reforms to bring Ukraine closer to the EU.
Denys Shmyhal thanked the Government and people of the Czech Republic for their high level of support for Ukraine during the full-scale russian aggression.
