The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković

Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković took part in the Fourth Summit of the International Crimea Platform. At the beginning of the meeting, the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament expressed his sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister for Croatia's active participation in the Summit and for its comprehensive support of Ukraine. “I am sincerely grateful to you and Croatia for your support, especially military, financial and humanitarian. I would also like to thank you for all the political decisions taken in support of Ukraine,” Ruslan Stefanchuk said. The security situation was an important topic of discussion during the meeting. “As the russian terrorism against Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure intensifies, Ukraine needs further defense support. There is a critical need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense systems,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
The Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament also focused on the importance of humanitarian demining. He noted that Croatia is a true leader in this area and stressed that using its experience and establishing cooperation is extremely important for Ukraine.
Special attention was paid to the need to increase sanctions pressure on russia, which is important for further combating aggression.
Given russia's ongoing attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure, Ruslan Stefanchuk focused on the situation in the energy sector and the restoration of Ukraine's energy facilities. At the end of the meeting, he expressed his gratitude for the latest support package announced by Croatia, which includes both military assistance and resources for the restoration of energy infrastructure.
