The First Vice-Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko and representatives of parliamentary factions and groups met with Valdis Dombrovskis, the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for the “Economy that works for people”
According to the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko, this meeting is an opportunity to discuss important issues with representatives of factions and groups of the Parliament, in particular, in terms of bringing our country closer to the status of members of the European Union.
“European integration is one of the main tasks for all of us. We have demonstrated our readiness to work hard to achieve the national goal of Ukraine's full membership in the European Union,” said Oleksandr Korniienko, adding that Ukraine continues to move step by step on this track.
The First Vice-Speaker expressed gratitude on behalf of Ukraine to the European Union for all the support and assistance.
The meeting was also attended by David Arakhamiia, the member of the Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence, Petro Poroshenko, the member of the Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the European Union, Serhii Vlasenko, the member of the Committee on Legal Policy, Oleksandr Puzanov, the member of the Committee on Legal Policy, Volodymyr Areshonkov and Oleksandra Ustinova, the members of the Committee on Law Enforcement, Anna Skorokhod, the member of the Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities, and Valerii Hnatenko, the member of the Committee on Budget.
