CinC AF of Ukraine
I am glad to welcome the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr General Carsten Breuer with an official visit to Ukraine.
We’ve had a constructive conversation. I described the situation at the frontline and outlined the preparation of the Security and Defense Forces for future actions with the aim to liberate our territory.
I expressed my gratitude for the military assistance provided by Germany: IRIS-T air defense systems, Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery systems, Leopard tanks and other armament. I expressed hope that in the future all our partners will make the right decision and Ukraine will receive F-16 aircraft.
Together with General Breuer we’ve emphasized the importance of further continuous support of Ukraine, we’ve also agreed to stay in touch and do everything possible to strengthen Ukraine’s defense posture.
