Denys Shmyhal discusses support for Ukraine with the leadership of the Italian Parliament
Іn the framework of his working visit to Rome, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with the leaders of the Parliament of the Italian Republic.
In a conversation with President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa, the parties discussed the recognition of the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people. According to the President of the Senate, the relevant bill is already being prepared. Denys Shmyhal noted that the Italian partners were aware that the Holodomor had been one of the worst crimes that should not happen again.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine and the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana, addressed the issue of economic and rapid recovery of our country. Lorenzo Fontana assured that the Chamber supported Ukraine's accession to the EU, the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine and the recognition of the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
Denys Shmyhal thanked the Italian Parliament for adopting decisions aimed at standing by Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and democracy.
