Denys Shmyhal and Alfred Kammer talk about new long-term program between Ukraine and IMF

Тhe launch of a new long-term program with the International Monetary Fund was discussed during an online conversation between Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Director of the European Department at the International Monetary Fund Alfred Kammer.

Alfred Kammer confirmed that a negotiation mission on the Extended Fund Facility program would start in Warsaw on March 8. Denys Shmyhal noted that the Government of Ukraine was making every effort to quickly agree on all the parameters and reach an accord. The total amount of financing is expected to be over USD 15 billion.

According to the Prime Minister, the new long-term program supported by the IMF would send an important message to investors and donors willing to invest in Ukraine. It will also help to create a solid foundation for the country's rapid recovery and consolidate efforts to ensure Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
