Ukraine celebrates Europe Day together with EU countries
Today, for the fourth consecutive year, Ukraine is celebrating Europe Day together with EU countries on May 9.

According to Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, historically and culturally, we are part of the European space. And in 2014, on Independence Square, Ukrainians had finally made their political choice—to be part of the European Union. And they continue to defend it at great cost.
Ukraine has already come a long way: from the Association Agreement to an EU candidate status. All conditions for opening six negotiation clusters have been met, and we continue to align legislation with EU acquis in synergy with the Government and the Verkhovna Rada.
Ukraine is closer to the EU than ever before.
“It is important to us that Europe stands with Ukraine today, and this is a conscious choice by Europeans. Military and financial support since the start of the invasion, the recent decision on a EUR 90 billion EU loan—these are signals of unity and trust not just in words, but in real actions,” the Head of Government emphasized.
After all, for the European Union, Ukraine is a security provider, the largest and most effective military with unique experience in modern warfare, and a contributor to the continent’s energy security through the integration of electricity markets and the development of alternative gas routes. There are also great prospects in the areas of transport logistics, industry, agricultural partnership, and global food security.
Ukraine is Europe.
Glory to Ukraine!
