Meeting of Parliamentary Committee Chairs and Regional Administration Heads Took Place at the Office of the President
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in a meeting on the implementation of regional resilience plans as part of preparations for winter.
Also present at the meeting were Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov, his deputy Viktor Mykyta, MPs, and heads of regional administrations.This format of work between representatives of Verkhovna Rada committees and the regions was launched to address existing problems and opportunities in greater detail at the level of interaction between Parliament and the regions.
The Head of State emphasized that all resilience plans must be implemented before the start of the heating season. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted that it is important to make communication substantive at all levels between the regions and the central authorities – the Government and parliamentarians.
The main issues discussed included updating infrastructure protection, logistics, ensuring additional energy capabilities, and recovery after Russian strikes.
Representatives of regional administrations reported on the implementation of the assigned tasks.The participants also discussed the necessary legislative changes that would make it possible to resolve problematic issues for the effective implementation of resilience plans.
Kyrylo Budanov emphasized that the first results should be achieved in the coming months. Those present defined tasks for the summer and agreed on further coordination.
The meeting also addressed other regional needs, including support for local businesses and the agricultural sector, the implementation of the eOselia program, and additional funding for communities.
