Yulia Svyrydenko: Ukraine has opened Its first agri-hub on the African continent
Despite russia’s war, Ukraine remains a guarantor of global food security. At the same time, it is offering a new model of cooperation – not only supplying grain, but also creating new opportunities for partners.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko informed, Ukraine had opened its first agri-hub on the African continent—in the Republic of Ghana. As part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Food from Ukraine initiative, a Food Processing and Distribution Center has begun operations.
“The agri-hub was established by Ukrainian business in cooperation with the Government of Ghana, following agreements reached at the Food from Ukraine conference in November 2025. This is a new format of Ukraine’s presence in the world, where humanitarian support is combined with partnership development and support for the local economy,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
The Head of Government explains Ukrainian products will be combined with locally produced goods to assemble food packages and ensure their distribution. The next stage will focus on developing processing, packaging, and portioning directly in Ghana.
The first food packages already include locally produced rice and pasta made in Ghana from Ukrainian flour. During the opening, 4,000 food packages were delivered to some of the most vulnerable members of the population – Ghanaian widows.
"We see Ghana as an important partner in West Africa for humanitarian support and for expanding trade along the western coast of the African continent. We are ready to share our expertise, technologies, and experience in increasing agricultural yields so that, together, we can strengthen global food security," stressed the Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
