Yulia Svyrydenko met with diplomats to discuss energy resilience

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held a working meeting with the heads of Ukraine’s diplomatic missions abroad, focusing on the Government’s steps to ensure the country’s energy resilience and the main directions of energy resilience plans for Ukraine’s regions.

During the meeting, the Head of Government emphasized that the total cost of the plan, including the capital’s needs, amounts to nearly UAH 278 billion.

“We must take urgent steps today to prepare for the upcoming heating season amid russia's attacks on our country’s critical infrastructure,” the Prime Minister noted.

Special attention was paid to the role of Ukrainian diplomats in securing international support. According to Yulia Svyrydenko, this is one of the key tasks of Ukrainian representatives abroad.

Specifically, this involves:

  • strengthening Ukraine’s energy security;
  •  increasing contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund;
  •  providing the state with necessary energy equipment;
  •  securing fuel supplies amid rising global oil prices due to the conflict in the Middle East.

The Prime Minister also emphasized that the Coordination Center for the Implementation of Resilience Plans has been designated as the platform for coordinating joint actions.
