Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with President-elect of Chile José Antonio Kast

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "Upon my arrival in Santiago, I was honored to meet with José Antonio Kast, who will be inaugurated as President of Chile tomorrow.

I conveyed a personal message from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, his best wishes of success, and an invitation for the new Chilean leader to visit Ukraine.

We spoke about areas in which we can boost mutually beneficial cooperation: from agriculture to digitalization and unmanned technologies.

Ukraine is ready to work closely with the incoming administration, open a new quality of relations, and unlock its full potential.

I also informed about the situation in Ukraine and peace efforts. Despite Russian attacks, Ukraine held the line, and overcame the most difficult winter. We will welcome the new administration’s active role in peace efforts.

I am grateful to Chile for its consistent support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Ultimately, it is not about Ukraine but about shared principles.

I highly value the reassurance that Chile's support for Ukraine and a sooner restoration of peace remain unwavering."
