Heorhii Zantaraia is a well-known Ukrainian athlete who, after concluding his distinguished sporting career, has taken on the responsibilities of public administration as the Head of the Sviatoshyn District State Administration in Kyiv. His life journey — from childhood in Georgia and relocation to Ukraine due to war, through challenging years growing up in the Troieshchyna district of Kyiv, to international sporting achievements and service to the state — is a story of resilience, determination, and the ability to overcome adversity.
