In this context, we reviewed progress toward launching the Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine, as well as the International Compensation Commission, which will assess and decide on claims submitted to the Register of Damage for Ukraine caused by the terrorist state," noted the Head of Government.
Yulia Svyrydenko thanked Secretary General Berset for his efforts in preparing the new Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine for 2027–2030, enabling the continued implementation of projects in justice, democratic governance, EU legislative alignment, and the protection of internally displaced persons. Peculiar attention was paid to the return of all Ukrainian children unlawfully deported and forcibly transferred by russia.
The Prime Minister highlighted the important role of the Council of Europe Development Bank in addressing urgent social needs in Ukraine, particularly through financial support in healthcare and housing for the most vulnerable communities, as well as for countries hosting Ukrainians.
