Kyiv Marks the 107th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia

In Ukraine’s capital, the 107th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia was solemnly celebrated — a national holiday symbolizing the courage, resilience, and unwavering pursuit of freedom by the Latvian people.

The event took place at the Hyatt Regency Kyiv hotel and brought together numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps, government officials, business leaders, cultural figures, and friends of Latvia.

Traditionally, the ceremony began with the performance of the national anthems of Latvia and Ukraine. After this, the audience was addressed by Andrejs Pildegovičs, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Ukraine, who emphasized the historical continuity of the Latvian people’s struggle for freedom, as well as the profound mutual understanding between Latvia and Ukraine.
