Ruslan Stefanchuk met with the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Tulia Ackson in Stockholm
As part of the Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk held a meeting with President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Tulia Ackson.
During the talks, the parties focused on peace initiatives and the role of parliamentary diplomacy in ensuring a just and durable peace. Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that no peace plan can contradict international law or Ukraine’s right to self-defence and the restoration of its territorial integrity.
According to Ruslan Stefanchuk, he heard a clear and principled position: the Inter-Parliamentary Union will continue to stand with Ukraine and support it in the face of russian aggression.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also invited Tulia Ackson to visit Ukraine, stressing that such a visit would be an important signal of solidarity with the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian parliament.
