Yulia Svyrydenko meets with Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Margus Tsahkna.

“Estonia is a committed ally that consistently supports Ukraine across all areas – energy, humanitarian aid, and digital development,” noted the Head of the Ukrainian Government.

The discussion focused on energy support for Ukraine amid ongoing russian attacks. The parties addressed the need for rapidly deployable equipment and urgent assistance from partners. Estonia expressed its readiness to contribute to the restoration of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

The use of frozen russian assets to finance reconstruction was also considered.

“Our principle is clear: russia can reclaim its assets only after full compensation for the damage caused to Ukraine. The Register of Damage has already been created and will serve as the legal foundation for future reparations. We expect a political decision on the Reparations Loan to be adopted by the end of the year,” Yulia Svyrydenko stated.

Additionally, the meeting covered pilot concession projects in Zhytomyr, the creation of a joint fund with the IFC to promote public-private partnerships, and the construction of data centres in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Estonian colleagues for their consistent support of Ukraine’s European integration goals.
